<P>OK, now you are confusing me. I used that 900Mb ripped one from 0Day for a while. As I can remember, its version number in ArcMap or ArcCatalog is 1324 too. But strangely, its setup.exe has a lower version number (something like 12xx) than full ISO. I guess 0Day released an RTM one.</P>
<P>Which one you get on eMule? 9.0/9.1 is definitely NOT compatible with 9.2. This is the most annoying part of ESRI's products. Even different sub-releases are not compatible with each other.</P>
<P>The most complete set of ArcGIS products out on the web is 9.0. I've never seen download for ArcGIS Server 9.1. There are two ways to use ArcGIS products with mixed version.</P>
<P>1. Rich people's choice - use several machines or buy authorized copies.</P>
<P>2. My choice - build a virtual network. I use Parallels Workstation cause it's a little faster than Virtual PC or VMWare on my Core 2 Duo w/ 2GB RAM. Right now I load ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 on host machine and other products on virtual machines. In this way, ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 can visit the ArcSDE 9.1/ArcIMS 9.1/ArcGIS Server 9.0 because of downward compatibility for access.</P>
<P><STRONG><FONT face=Verdana color=#61b713>cmfc, are you sure that ArcIMS 9.2 ISO on eMule comes with license file? 9.1 license won't work because .NET ADF and Java ADF for ArcIMS are completely new in 9.2.</FONT></STRONG></P>

<P>Workstation works like a charm too. Workstation is where Arc/Info started long time ago and is mainly for maintaining legacy system now. If you heard of AML, Coverage, COGO, or Info table, it is still of great value to you. I wrote my last AML script about 3~4 years ago.</P>

<P>Desktop is done. WS is a little bit behind. Version number is 9.2.1324, same as that 0Day release. This means you don't need to uninstall 0Day release. From ESRI's documentation, ArcSDE personal does not need authorization file, which is damn good news. Later, I will open another post to vote which component to upload first.</P>
